The Queensland Touch Football Junior State Cup is a 3-day action packed Touch Football competition that brings together more than 3000 participants from over 230 affiliate teams from across Queensland extending as far north as Cairns and as far south as South Tweed.
We’re excited to be hosting the 2024 event at Redland Showgrounds, 44 Smith Street, Cleveland.
The first Junior State Cup event was held in 1996 and consisted of 13’s, 15’s and 17’s divisions. Today, the Junior State Cup is the premier junior affiliate competition in Queensland that provides the opportunity for junior touch players to represent their affiliate in a fun, enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
The event is suitable for ages 8 – 18 years and includes male and female divisions. Round robin games are held on Thursday and Friday with finals commencing on Saturday morning.
The event focuses not only on Junior athlete development but also coach and referee development and pathways.
The Junior State Cup is a must do on the touch enthusiasts’ calendar and provides a fantastic weekend away not only for the participants but for family and friends as well!
The tournament is a Queensland Affiliate based tournament; however, interstate may be considered on an invitational basis and if numbers permit.
